Step 1: Book Session
Right after booking, you’ll be directed to our assessment form. This helps us tailor the session to your child’s unique interests, needs, and learning style.
Step 2: Assessment Form
After reviewing your assessment, Ms. Buchi will give you a call to confirm your session and go over key details. She’ll also answer any questions and share helpful tips to make the session extra special.
Step 3: Follow-Up Call
Once your session is confirmed, you’ll receive a private email with a link to our secure payment page. Your booking is finalized once payment is complete.

Every session takes place in the comfort and familiarity of your own home or backyard. We create a safe, engaging learning environment right where your child feels most secure—no rushing out the door or adjusting to unfamiliar spaces.

Our approach is grounded in Montessori principles, with a deep respect for each child’s pace, individuality, and natural curiosity. Activities are hands-on, thoughtfully chosen, and designed to foster independence, focus, and confidence.
Custom-Tailored Curriculum
Before the first session, we invite you to complete a brief parent questionnaire. This allows us to design a session that reflects your child’s developmental needs, learning style, and interests—whether they love dinosaurs, building, music, or sensory play.
Play-Based, Child-Led Structure
We believe meaningful learning happens through joyful exploration. Sessions are intentionally unhurried and open-ended, allowing your child to take the lead. Our goal is to guide, not instruct—fostering a genuine love of learning through play.

Ms. Buchi, founder of Little Tot Depot, brings over 25 years of experience as a Montessori educator and childcare professional. Her thoughtful presence, deep understanding of early childhood development, and passion for purposeful play make each session both nurturing and impactful.
What to Expect
The Playtime Express is a two-hour, in-home enrichment session thoughtfully designed by Ms. Buchi to inspire learning through joyful play. Each visit blends hands-on activities—like art, music, science, and movement—with age-appropriate skill building, all tailored to your child’s interests and developmental stage.

Stops Along the Learning Journey
Each session weaves together hands-on learning, creativity, and joyful exploration—tailored to your child’s developmental stage and interests.
Math & Problem Solving
Counting with manipulatives, sorting by color/shape/size, number scavenger hunts, hands-on puzzles, early measurement using everyday objects.
Literacy & Language
Interactive story time with guided questions, name and letter recognition games, sound matching, vocabulary building through themed play (e.g., animals, weather).
Creative Arts
Open-ended crafts with natural or seasonal materials, watercolor and sensory painting, guided drawing based on storytelling, collage-making with textured items.
Exercise & Movement
Obstacle courses, balance games, stretching, climbing, jumping, and crawling to build strength, coordination, confidence, and body awareness
Science & Nature
Cause-and-effect experiments (e.g., baking soda + vinegar), sink or float exploration, color mixing, seasonal nature walks, plant or insect observation.
Social-Emotional Skills
Puppet roleplay, feelings identification games, cooperative turn-taking activities, storytelling with emotion cards, “how would you feel?” games.
